I started work on 3rd of September. Hard, but coping well. Thanks to Lee Woei Guang who has been a good teacher since. I was posted to one of the satellite pharmacy. My first oncall was at inpatient pharmacy. And thank God I didn't got any call during standby.
The HIS system is somehow not smart enough but better than Quest3, I guess. LOL.
Danish is unwell for these 2 weeks. Fever on and off, flu, coughing and parenteral diarrhoea on and off. The virus just won't go away. Luckily, it's just him. Sofea was not affected, only runny nose once in a while. Started to think that something else has infected him. Could it be UTI? Sigh.
Last weekend of the month I shall be on methadone call both Saturday and Sunday. Hate it that I had to work on holiday but work is work, it's my responsibility too, no?
It's been raining almost everyday in Temerloh. I had loads of dirty laundry to take care of but the weather just not co-operative enough. I don't blame the weather though. Hehe
Went to ex-colleagues' open house last weekend and the weekend before that. It was fun catching up with friends. seeing familiar faces, talking to familiar voices. I find it hard to get close to everyone here in HoSHAS..probably they're all new to me, not so many from my batch neither same age and slightly taking different 'language'. Trying to adapt, definitely.

Dream a little dream
At 15 months, baby Danish still wakes up through the night. It was hard training him to sleep by himself especially with the tears and screams. So i gave up. I still let him use me as pacifier but only once, right before his bedtime. If he wakes up at night, i just pat his bum and/or sing to him.
Now at 17 months I feel less tired attending him since he wakes up less through the night. Sofea, on the other hand, does not have a specific nursing time. Sometimes she can fall asleep all by herself. But lately she seems uncomfortable in her sleeps. Probably due to colic or something. She would sleep well only if u hold her or put her on her tummy.
Being away for a week during raya kind of ruined the trained habit. Mommy and daddy sleeps late and so does the kids. Some night they even go to bed at 1 am. Nap time, well, i can say it is all haywire now. Hihi.
With work being 5 days away, I am a little worry on how to cope. At the moment I often sleeps after Subuh, accompanying the kids cos I think they easily wakes up when I'm not in bed with them. So I have no problem dealing with sleepless nights.
There is more to my worry. Being at home 24/7 for the past 115 days, I might have spoiled the babies. They nap while nursing, they woke up late and i direct feed them most of the time. I wonder how they will be once I sent them away.
Hopefully they both will be fine.

Sometimes his hand is waved in the air as if he is cooking (he has an obsession with pots and pans, cooking to be more precised). This is quite often. The other night he did the 'haa haa tak tau' finger moving like. Funnily cute isnt it?

Aidilfitri 1433H
Eid Mubarak, everyone! This year I'm celebrating the first of Syawal at my in laws'. We'll be here til Wednesday (4th of Syawal). We head to Melaka in the afternoon. There are some differences in the food served during Aidilfitri where prawn sambal would be served with ketupat nasi. I never had prawn sambal back in Perak for raya dishes. Of course, lemang, ketupat and rendang will always be there.
Last year we celebrate first Syawal in Kuching. We don't actually have turns, I guess. After all, it has only been 3 raya together. I would have gone back to Kuching but I think it's too much hassle especially taking both babies on the plane. Definitely we cannot sit together since maximum number of passenger per rows is 4. Last year I had to change place because there was another lady with her kid sitting next to me.
I enjoyed my raya, wherever it is celebrated, be it abroad or at home, as long as the loved ones are around.

Ramadhan Kareem
Ramadhan almost comes to the end. Syawal awaits.
Will we be able to meet again? Insya-Allah.
This whole Ramadhan I perform Tarawikh prayer at home. I would let Danish play and walk around while praying where as Sofea will be lied down on the sofa or in her carseat. Wherever that I can see her. I know that it is not easy but letting your kids watch you pray will somehow encourage them to pray too. I do hope that this little family of mine will pray together as many times possible in the future, that my Danish and Sofea Hanaa will join my husband and me. Well, it's my job to make sure they do, right? :)
Will we be able to meet again? Insya-Allah.

Baju Raya
Eid is just a week away. So last weekend was being used for preparation. Drove down to Jalan TAR with the 2 kids was very tiring tapi dapat la tandem stroller, baju melayu for Shahid, my baju and Sofea Hanaa's. Unfortunately do baju melayu for Danish. Baju melayu warna merah for 1 y.o dah habis.
Carik jugak dekat The Store tapi habis jugak. Carik dekat Temerloh pun tak dapat. Susahnya la nak carik warna merah. Hihi.
I drove to Sg Buloh with the kids yesterday since ncik hubby was oncalled. Semalam cari lagi dekat Giant and Carrefour tapi tak dapat juga. Habis habis habis. So hari ni pegi Jusco One Utama. Alhamdulillah, one pair left..and that's for 2 y.o. Tak kira, Beli jugak. And then I need to fix it myself la kan.
3 pm tadi baru drive balik Temerloh. Penat dan ngantuk. Thanks to ncik hubby, hari ni iftar kat Star Mall je. No need to cook. Yeahooo!

Officially 28 years old. Feeling old, hence reminded me of death that will come anytime. Which, reminded me of my kids, my parents, my husband and ibadah yang masih belum cukup. A lot of things still need to be changed, for good.
Semoga kematangan menambah keimanan. Ameen.

Lasagna, Oven and Electricity
Was being rajin yesterday to bake lasagna to bring home for iftar. So after done with the layer, I heated the oven and suddenly - poof! No electricity. I tried to fix the switch but it didn't work and we were supposed to go back to KL this weekend.
My oh my how worry I am if the electricity keep going off like this while I'm away. Habis lah EBM ku. With the hp yang dah gelap screennya tu, I called my husband and then drove the kids around sbb rumah sgt lah panas and masing-masing dah menangis.
Bila ncik hubby balik, we tried once again fixing the main switch. Poof! Haha. Terasa diri sangat bodoh. Hubby siap dah beli bags of ice untuk transport all the EBM to Sg Buloh. Dia siap call orang TNB suruh datang check! How angry was the TNB's man upon seeing that there is no problem with our electricity. Sorry encik pekerja TNB.
It turned out that the oven cannot be used anymore. Sedih. It was my birthday present from my sisters. So the lasagna was only baked when we safely arrive in Sg Buloh, after Tarawikh prayer.
Note to self: please switch off whatever electrical appliances that I last switched on before trying to fix the main switch. Lol.
On the other hand, I'm still wondering. How do you keep track of your EBM when you are away for a long time, let's say for a few days. If the main switch is trip (probably due to the lightning) and you are away for 3 days..habis lah kan semua EBM itu? Thinking of power generator...hmmmm....

New Freezer
The EBM can no longer fit into the current freezer. Hence, we got ourselves a new chest freezer. Macam-macam jugak freezer sekarang ni..nak pilih pun susah. (Read: bukan banyak pun pilihan di Temerloh ni).
At the moment, my EBM is stored in bottles of 4 or 5 oz. Tapi macam dah 100 over bottle beli..takkan nak beli botol lagi kot. Plastik plak besar sgt..macam rugi plak nak store 4-5 oz kalau kapasiti dia 12 oz. Huhu.
After this perlulah meng-organize kan susu-susu itu supaya nanti senang nak amek and keep track expiry date mereka.
Bil elektrik rumah bakal melambung due to the freezer tapi tak apa lah kan..the milk can stand for at least 6 months. Ok, who knows how long can the milk be kept after transferring from 2 door freezer to chest freezer? 3 months? 6? A year?

Neonatal jaundice
Gila serious tajuk. Hehe. Nak tido scroll wall fb then ada ex-officemate ckp pasal anak dia. Jaundice atau lebih dikenali sebagai demam kuning.
Anak aku dua2 kena duduk bawah lampu okay. Bagi ibu-ibu sedia maklumlah kan lampu tu apa. UV untuk digestkan bilirubin. Bilirubin tu la yang menyebabkan warna kuning tu.
Masa Danish dulu mencabar sbb dia kire prolonged jaundice gak la. 14 hari kena ulang alik pegi klinik kesihatan untuk cek TSB level. Tapi dia byk faktor tambahan - preterm, G6PD deficient, aku plak blood group O. Nanges2 gak la kat hosp sbb nak balik umah cepat.
Sofea Hanaa ari tu kena gak tapi sehari je tu pun single photo. Pastu bile doktor nak off kan phototherapy seaaje je request nak sambung since mmg kena stay hosp lg sehari. Biar puas hati balik x kuning dah.
Hubby kata jaundice ni susah..bagi susu banyak pun bole jaundice, susu x cukup pun jaundice jugak.
Nak bagi tips sket tak tau la membantu ke tak. Masa Danish dulu aku start bg EBM dari day 3 lagi. Tu utk top up lepas direct feeding. Buat macam tu sbb nak make sure dia dapat cukup susu. Masa kat dlm hosp tu ada formula nak kire brape oz/ml susu kena minum based on umur baby and birth weight.
Satu lagi nak pesan ibu-ibu jangan la takut and sedih sgt bile anak kena phototherapy and amek darah cek TSB level. Bukan apa, yang penting selamat. Ni kadang tgk ada yg sanggup biar sampai melarat sbb x nak admit hosp. Bila dah kena transfer darah tu lagi la kesian baby. Kalau x nak sgt admit, labur la sikit pegi sewa mesin photo tu buat sendiri kat rumah.

Iftar
Yesterday, was the first iftar together with ncik hubby for this year. He was on-called on the first of Ramadhan. The menu for today is Grilled Salmon with roasted cherry tomatoes, garlic parsley potato and coleslaw. Yummy yummy.

Marhaban ya Ramadhan
Ramadhan datang lagi. InsyaAllah kalau dipanjangkan umur berpuasa lah esok.
Dah 2 tahun berpuasa penuh, Alhamdulillah. Satu tu sebab masa tengah pregnant Ahmad Danish Rifqi. Last year pulak sebab pregnant anak kedua.
Ramai orang risau takut susu tak cukup masa bulan Ramadhan ni. So, nak bagi sikit tips yang diamalkan. Alhamdulillah, setakat ni jadi. Dulu siap mintak supply domperidone untuk sebulan kat hubby sbb takut susu x cukup tapi sudahnya tak makan pun. Membazir je ubat. Huhu.
Tips yang aku amalkan:
- Buka puasa makan kurma dan minum susu
- Sepanjang malam tu make sure minum air kosong yang banyak (sampai waktu imsak)
- Makan sikit selepas terawih (so that cukup 3 meal - berbuka, supper and sahur)
- Jangan sekali-kali skip sahur
- Tutup sahur dengan susu dan kurma
- Teruskan mengepam susu seperti biasa, jangan tinggal walaupun rasa macam susu sikit

A trip to Ikea
Ni masa pegi Ikea last week. Danish excited okay nampak dapur kecik tuh. Ncik suami pun apa lagi beli la untuk dia tapi sampai arini x pasang lg pun sbb sgt busy.
Otw nak balik Temerloh dari Kajang sempat lagi menyinggah ari ni sebab nak beli lagi Antonius storage system tu tapi apakan daya tak ada rezeki. Laku lah pulak.
Danish, nanti dapur dah siap pasang jangan kacau dapur mama lagi yeee. Good boy!

Suri rumahtangga
Hari ini dengan bangganya aku mengisytiharkan aku berjaya jd housewife. Haha.
Semuanya ok sampai petang bila Danish dan Sofea Hanaa nak mandi petang. Apa-apapun bole jugak masak untuk lunch. Danish dah tak dibagi makanan segera ni. Usaha ma masak bubur hari-hari berjaya. Pengajarannya jangan sekali-kali cuba bagi anak makan cerelac ke biskut Farleys ke apa. Semua makanan tu manis-mania belaka.
Danish senang je. Hari-hari makan steam egg ala-ala chawanmushi tu. Dapat idea pun sbb pernah bawak dia makan sushi. Habis semangkuk chawanmushi tu. So balik sibuk cari resepi tapi asek tak jadi je. Huhu. Akhirnya berjaya jugak jumpa cara terbaik dan termudah. 15 minit je dah siap and it works everytime. Smooth and cantik je jadinya.
Ini makanan untuk hari ini. Tak ada steam egg yang ada sup taufu, tomato spinach dan spanish tuna.
Semoga terus survive di hari-hari yang mendatang. Husbandku oncall hari ni. Huhu

Welcome home
I'm back in Temerloh, selepas confinement di Sg Buloh plus cuti-cuti rehat sket.
Alhamdulillah berjaya transport EBM yang nak penuh freezer tu. Kat sini pun nak penuh freezer gak. Ncik suami, we need to get the chest freezer asap.
How was the EBM being transported? Well, after googling so many sites, I believed that I need dry ice to keep the EBM frozen but due to shortage of time, plus kelam-kabut kemas rumah due to the 2 babies, I just used ice, plenty of it. Lebih setengah bag ice lah untuk transport dlm 80+ bottles of milk tu. Memandangkan KL - Temerloh tak sampai pun 2 jam, so selamatlah semuanya tanpa sebarang pencairan.
Ok, penat. So nak tido dulu. The house need a serious cleaning. Barang-barang plak need to find a place where to put. Memang tak cukup la nanti bila dah bawa baju kurung pindah sini. Huhu
